   Why would you ask for people not to argue your second point:

   "2) "Circumcision doesn't permanently take away the ability to feel sexual pleasure…"

   That would be a completely valid point. Granted, consent is an issue with circumcisions but consider this: Female genital mutilation is done FOR malicious reasons. It is meant to prevent sexual pleasure. It is not simply removing skin. It is complete mutilation.

   Male circumsicion, on the other hand, has been done WITHOUT malicious reasons. It had been the belief for many years that it was healthier for the male if he was circumcized. Again, females are NOT being mutilated with the belief that it is for their health. It is truely mutilation and horrific.

   I don't think the two are even comparable. The only thing I think you and I would agree on, is that nobody should have anything removed, cut, replaced, etc…without it being a medical necessity or without their consent.

   There is a big movement currently to try and end male circumcisions, so people are considering both sexes.
   To attempt to compare male circumcisions and the reasons behind it, with female genital mutilation, is at the very least, an ignorant argument because the two are not even close to being similar.

   This question attempts to oversimplify two VERY different problems based simply on the fact that they both occur in the genital region. That does not make them the same thing in the least.
